Are You Taking Part In The Big Garden Birdwatch 2011?

Our little feathered friends need your help! The RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch has run for the last 30 years and is held on the last weekend in January. This year it is running on the 29th – 30th January 2011.
The idea is to watch and record sightings of any birds in your garden or Local Park, for just an hour, sometime over the specified weekend. This provides vital information for the RSPB and other conservation charities, to try and understand the changes in bird populations: noting any worrying declines and any successes.

The Art Of Saying Thank you

Over the years, it has long been debated that the term ‘thank you’ isn’t used that much anymore. The thank you note was once an important part of society, but these days with our fast here today, gone tomorrow, take away culture, this practice has began to die out. I love to send thank you cards and gifts; as I want the person who either helped me, or sent me a gift, to know how much I appreciate them and their thoughtfulness.
