Go Jane… so come and tell us – what would YOU do for charity?

A lot of us have been inspired by our ‘Bird’ Jane Hatton, not only is she the MD of 2 leading Diversity Training companies, she is also going to abseil down a building, the Fort Dunlop building!

Jane Hatton on her inversion table

I am planning to abseil down the Fort Dunlop building in May 2010 and will be looking for people to sponsor me, to raise money for this superb cause. Disabled children (and adults) don’t want pity or sympathy, they want to access the sort of life experiences most people take for granted.

Abseiling down a ten story building wasn’t on my life plan, and I’m not sure whether I’m looking forward to it or dreading it, but hopefully it will give me a new experience as well as raising money for a good cause! Whether or not you decide to donate, I hope you wish me luck – or more importantly, the person who will be on the other end of the rope (thanks Andy!).
Jane Hatton

You can help Jane make a difference here, by making a donation.

Well done Jane, we are all so proud of you :-)

    • Um, well, I haven’t done it yet! I hope I don’t chicken out at the last minute!

Putting the donation page up will hopefully ensure I do go through with it. I’d have prefered to do a tandem skydive (seems less scary for some reason) but although I found a centre who would let me jump, we can’t find a way of getting me up to 12,000 feet as I can’t sit in an aeroplane. This really is the most ridiculous disability!

Many, many thanks to those who are supporting me. It really is appreciated, and Whizz-Kidz is a fantastic charity doing much good work in transforming the lives of many children and young people.
