Shoot the Baby

Great baby photos and how to take them

This is one of those lovely books that you enjoy looking through, to have on your table, in the bookshelf, on the sideboard to learn something each time or just to browse when a touch of broodiness visits, Helen having included numerous examples of how to take great baby photos.

The advice is offered in the simplest possible way, easy to read and just do – much of what Helen shows us can be applied beyond babies.

Definitely a lovely gift for keen grandparents, aunties, dads – anyone who also enjoys a spot of amateur photography.

The advice packed into the book covers every aspect – planning, technique, lighting, composition, props, the willing child and finishing touches. Also included is a section on getting most from professional photographers. Really – every aspect of taking great photos of your baby is covered.

Helen has created the Shoot the Baby website too where you can offer feedback and learn more about taking your own great baby photos.

And I’ll round off with some of the beautiful pages within – what better way to show you the beauty. Helen has put together a lovely book, one that I thoroughly recommend. A pleasure to review.
