Videoblog: Work and The Olympic Spirit

An Olympic size videoblog this month with Bob in his bobsleigh… yes, that was my idea.

The Olympics are the greatest non wartime movement of people, worldwide, and they do a tremendous amount for the nations involved. It really is the coming together  of the host country to deliver sporting excellence.

A few weeks ago I watched as the Olympic flame was passed to another person, the streets were awash with people to watch something that nearly 12,000 Canadians had done. The Flame had been carried across Canada, the biggest distance it has travelled in the games history – 45,000 kms. That’s the biggest distance in the history of the games, from hand to hand, across water, mountain, prairie. Through ice, rain snow and sunshine, the Olympic flame has been carried by children, men, women, or every age and every race. Even Arnold Schwarzenegger has got in on the act. It was all very inspiring.

So what can we do to get in on the act? With Seb Coe winning the Olympics for London in 2012 (what seems like a life time ago!), our chance at winning some Olympic business is just around the corner.

What are you doing about it?

Whilst in Vancouver and armed with my trusty flip (it never leaves my pocket, consider yourself warned for when we meet) I spoke to BT partnership manager, Bob Bissell. He kindly agreed to talk on camera about what a small business can do to get a share of the Olympic business.

Thank you Bob, much appreciated.

So, will you be going after some Olympic business?

Sarah
